Betheny Elle

JAZZ MUSICIAN

Award Winning Artist, Bethany Elle is a Gospel Jazz Artist from Des Moines Iowa, by way of Indianapolis, Indiana. Bethany’s Jazzy Big Band Single, entitled, “That Great Day,” debuted in London, England, and has been nominated for four Kingdom Image Awards, the International ABGMA Award, five GCMA awards, and Winner of the You Inspire Presidential Gospel Choice Music Award.

 

It premiered in the Top 200, lingered in the top- twenty, and Peaked at #14 on the Gospel Internet Billboard Nielsen BDS Charts. She has shared the stage with mainstream gospel artists such as John P. Kee, Shirley Caesar, Lamar Campbell & Praise, Wess Morgan, the Clark Sisters, The Five Blind Boys of Alabama, and other Gospel Legends. Most importantly, Bethany is a devout Christian & and a devoted mother, who loves to spread the good news. Her Jazz-infused mezzo-soprano wrapped in warm, inspiring lyrics is simply amazing.

Biography

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, this Pentecostal  Preacher’s daughter began singing and playing the piano at the tender age of three.  She began training groups and choirs at 12 years old and taught Gospel Chorale class while still in high school.  Bethany Elle grew up surrounded by such Gospel greats as Al “The Bishop” Hobbs (a dear Family Friend), and Robert Turner. 

 

Theater and Television Production

Bethany began in the theater with a breakout performance in the play, entitled, “Momma Don't,” at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 15 years old. She & and her cast mates were nominated for a short film Emmy Award for their work in the short film entitled, "Endan­gered Species", directed & and produced by Rev. Eugene Staples. Additionally, she received congratulatory reviews & and earned an Actor's Achievement award nomination from the Central Indiana Theater Society for her roles as, "Lula Buffington & the Landlady" in the Off-Broadway musical stage play entitled, “Violet". 

 

Education

Despite a childhood illness that threatened to leave her blind, deaf, and handicapped, and the death of her infant son, John while attending college, Bethany overcame it all to earn her Master of Science in Music Technology & and a second Masters in Business Administration. She gives back by teaching young people to honor her son's legacy.

 

Professional Experience

Bethany Elle is a professional Gospel Jazz artist who has a passion for music, theater, voiceover, TV/ Radio Commercial work ministry, and arts education. Bethany has been training soloists, choirs, & and groups for over 30 years. With a voice that is been described as medicine for the soul, She is a rising star in the Music Industry.
